HOH4C Issues Its First Situation Report in Haiti as Hurricane Melissa Intensifies

Port-au-Prince, October 28, 2025 — House of Hope 4 Children (HOH4C) has deployed 228 volunteers across the South and Grand’Anse departments to assist families affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Since October 25, teams have been conducting rapid assessments in shelters and high-risk areas, identifying urgent needs in food, clean water, hygiene, and medical care.Several areas of Les Cayes are flooded, schools are closed, and agricultural losses are reported in Tiburon and surrounding communities.


The first HOH4C situation report, published on October 28, includes data from 2,150 individuals.


Updated reports will be released daily at 3:00 PM, providing detailed information by commune and department.


HOH4C remains on the ground, committed to protecting lives and bringing hope to affected communities.
