While the goal of ending the HIV epidemic in the United States by 2030 is being led through national efforts, the battle against HIV is global. At House of Hope 4 Children (HOH4C), our volunteer health team in Haiti works tirelessly, day and night, to strengthen prevention, testing, treatment, and rapid response systems that directly support the core pillars of the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Initiative: Diagnose, Treat, Prevent, and Respond.
From remote rural villages to high-risk urban zones, HOH4C’s volunteer doctors, nurses, community health workers, and psychosocial agents serve on the frontlines, ensuring that no one is left behind in the fight against HIV.
Early diagnosis is the gateway to survival and prevention. Through mobile clinics and community outreach programs, HOH4C volunteers bring lifesaving services directly to the people who need them most. Every day, our teams provide:
Free, confidential rapid HIV testing
Routine screening integrated into general medical consultations
Testing during community campaigns, in schools, and in high-risk outreach zones
Immediate linkage to care for all individuals who test positive
Our work mirrors global efforts to reduce the number of people unaware of their HIV status—one of the most critical barriers to ending the epidemic. Through door-to-door education, mobile units, and community health agents, HOH4C ensures that diagnosis is accessible even in the most remote locations of Haiti.
Beyond testing, HOH4C’s volunteer health workers play a key role in:
Educating communities about HIV prevention
Fighting stigma and discrimination
Supporting treatment adherence
Guiding patients through the healthcare system
Reaching vulnerable populations who often have no access to care
These volunteers often work with limited resources, difficult terrain, and unstable conditions, yet they remain deeply committed to saving lives and protecting the health of their communities.
The impact of HOH4C’s HIV program is made possible largely through volunteer service and community solidarity. However, sustaining and expanding this work requires strong financial and material support. Your contribution helps us to:
Purchase rapid HIV test kits and medical supplies
Operate mobile clinics in isolated areas
Train and equip volunteer health workers
Strengthen prevention and education programs
Ensure continuity of care for people living with HIV
Without sustained support, many of these lifesaving services would simply not reach the families who depend on them.
HOH4C’s volunteer health workers are proof that dedication and compassion can change lives, even in the most challenging environments. But they cannot do it alone.

With your support, HOH4C can continue to strengthen Haiti’s health system, expand HIV prevention and care, and protect the most vulnerable children and families.
Every donation, every partnership, and every gesture of solidarity brings us closer to a future where HIV no longer steals lives or hope.
